Activate your SPID credentials in the Municipality

SPIDis the free solution promoted by the Italian Government to access all the online services of the Italian Public Administration with one digital identity (username and password) from any computer, tablet and smartphone. 

You can activate your SPID credentials in the Municipality by following three simple steps: 

1. Register your personal data 
2. Book an appointment in one of the offices of the Municipality 
3. Go to the appointment and get your SPID 

NB: To obtain your SPID credentials you must be of age. 

Follow our step by step instructions and find out about how to activate SPID.

1° Register your data on the Lepida website

Access the Lepida website at the following link:  https://id.lepida.it/lepidaid/registra 

and fill in all the data requested

• your email address (you do not need to have a PEC), which will be your username
• the password that you will use to access with SPID must have:

• • length between 8 and 16 characters; 
  • both capital and lowercase letters;
  • at least one numeric character; 
  • at least one special character (e.g.! # $%, etc);
  • no more than two consecutive equal characters; 
  • no information referred to you (e.g. your name, surname, or tax code);

• your phone number
• the front and the back image (photo or scan)  of your valid Italian identification document (identity card, passport or driving license)
• the front and the back image (photo or scan) of your valid Italian health insurance card

Finally, choose the "IN PERSON" recognition and choose:

as the front office where you will be identified

Once you have chosen the front office you will see the message "Identification Requested Correctly" (as in the image below). Then press the "Confirm" button.

You are now ready to book an appointment in one of the offices of the Municipality of Trento to have you recognized in person by an operator that verifies that you have uploaded the documents correctly.

2° Book an appointment in the Municipality

You can book an appointment on the date and at the time that you prefer in the following dedicated offices:

• URP - Public Relations Office in Via Belenzani, 3 
• Districts (currently only in Bondone and S. Giuseppe / S. Chiara, but progressively in all the districts) 
• Registry Office in Piazza Fiera

You can book the appointment:

• by making a phone call:

• URP at the following numbers 0461-884453 0461- 884005
• Registry office at the following numbers 0461-884291; 0461-884292

• online using the "Appointments" service: https://webapps.comune.trento.it/appuntamenti 

In this case, please select:

• the "BOOKING" button
• the "SPID, PERSONAL AND TERRITORIAL SERVICES" category
• the topic "SPID ACTIVATION - ..." (corresponding to the desired office)
• the "SEARCH AGENDA" button

When you have found an available date and time in the calendar, you can book the appointment by clicking on the "BOOK" button. Then, fill in your data and confirm.

As soon as you have made your reservation, you will receive an email / SMS that confirms your appointment.

3 °Go to the front office and get your SPID credentials

On the day of the appointment go to the chosen front office. Remember to bring with you the documents uploaded during the first phase of registration: 

• the valid identity document
• the valid health insurance card 

Once the collaborator has verified that you have uploaded the documents correctly and that you are the same person "certified" by the documents, she/he will activate your SPID credentials.

You can then use your user name (your email) and your password (the one you have chosen) to access all the online services of the Italian Public Administration.
