Qrowd and the citizens
An experimental lab (called QROWDLab) was set for the entire duration of the project up to engage the citizens in different activities. By participating to the QROWDLab, they were able to express their ideas to improve the mobility in Trento, to test the i-Log app and to collect data and information about bike racks and yellow parking spots around the city.
The QROWDLab consisted of two activities:
- Idea contest
- Studies to test and improve the i-Log app

Ideas competition
Between August 2017 and February 2018, a call for new ideas about mobility was launched using an online participation platform. At the end of the competition, a jury has selected the winning ideas that were later awarded during the second edition of the Trento Smart City Week (April 2018). Some of the ideas were used as input during the definition of the project objectives
Studies
The studies aimed at testing and improving the i-Log app with the help of citizens. In particular, during the studies the citizens tracked their own trips (in order to understand the mobility habits of residents and commuters) and collected data about bike racks and parking spots around the city.
The information about parking spots and bike racks are available in the "Car" and "Bike" sections respectively within the dashboard dedicated to citizens: QROWD | Dashboard
