PEC (certified email)

The certified email or PEC replaces the registered letter with return receipt; it is simpler, safer and is regulated by law

The PEC is a digital transmission method and has several advantages. Not only is the transmission of the certified email message and its attachments immediate, secure and guaranteed, but the cost of sending a certified email message is free. If successful, the recipient will find in his PEC inbox the message sent by the sender together with all the attached documents in complete safety and efficiency.

To obtain the PEC it is necessary to rely on one of the 18 PEC providers that you can find on the AgiD website https://www.agid.gov.it/index.php/it/piattaforme/posta-elettronica-certificata/elenco-gestori-pec .  Each provider has different cost rates.

In addition to physical persons, private individuals, public administrations, companies, organizations, associations, etc.  each PA has the obligation to own a PEC (for each protocol register) and communicate the address to the AgID.
