An ancient place devoted to animal markets and fairs.
The large quadrangular square is bounded on the east by Palazzo Arcivescovile, hosting the Curia‘s offices and the Diocesano Tridentino archives, on the north by the Mura Vanghiane (the city walls built by bishop Vanga) and on the west by the Torrione Madruzziano (the great tower built by bishop Madruzzo). In this square, during the Christmas period, is held the famous Cristmas market.
