The Palace dates back to the first years of the 16th century, and displays features in the late Renaissance style. A 16th century frieze - later supplemented by painter Augusto Sezanne in 1899 - decorates the hall on the first floor.

Special mention goes to the classically inspired portal. Featuring two winged Victories, it is framed by two semi-columns and topped by a trabeation with figurative triglyphs and metopes.
The Palazzo hosted Portuguese Ambassador Fernando Maschareño during the last phase of the Council.
