Museum of Science

A museum continuously changing: this is the identity concept of MUSE, the modern science museum of Trento, designed by Renzo Piano and inaugurated in 2013.

MUSE is the first museum harmoniously combining nature, science and technology, without neglecting the ethical and social issues of everyday life. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the visitor can discover several temporary exhibitions and innovative projects about different current issues as, for example, sustainable development and environmental friendliness.

MUSE is a museum to be explored, in order to discover the natural phenomena of the world we live in and to confront with the challenges of contemporary society. A place where to experiment and learn but also have fun.

Not to be missed:

- the tropical greenhouse: a 600 square meters surface which reproduces the rainforest of Tanzania. Entering the greenhouse, visitors are immediately surrounded by the typical tropical humid heat, walking through a luxuriant forest close to an evocative waterfall.

- the Maxi Ooh!: a place dedicated to children, where they can touch, smell, see, look and hear. Maxi Ooh! becomes colored and moves, displaying thoughts, actions and gesture of whom is inside.

- the biggest dinosaurs exhibition in the Alps: numerous fossils lead the visitor on a travel through time, from the appearance of the first molecules, to the evolution of dinosaurs and mammals, following the common thread of our existence.
