The façade’s regularity ensures the Palazzo amongst the best examples of Renaissance architecture in the city.

The symmetrical position of its openings highlights its larger, central mullioned window with its two stone balconies. The latter frame the portal and its round arch - an architectural work with great formal value - while the building’s painted decoration imitating ashlar and friezes date back to the end of the 19th century.
Built by the Saracini family in the mid-16th century, the Palazzo passed into the hands of Barons Cresseri, owners of Castel Pietra, at the end of the following century. A wall plaque inside the building commemorates the death of the Duke of Gloucester - brother of King George the III of England - occurred in 1777. The Palazzo underwent refurbishing and restyling works by the Pedrotti family during the second half of the 19th century. The family inhabited the building until 1954, when it was purchased by the Trentino Alpinists Association. Today the palace is the seat of the SAT Museum.
