Doss Trento, a remnant of the glacial era, is a special feature of Trento landscape and offers an interesting mix of naturalistic, historical and artistic features.

In the woods covering the wide expanse on the top can be found many plant species, from the characteristic coppice trees (oaks, ash trees, celtis australis, robinias) to cedars and typically Mediterranean species such as terebinth or opuntia. The signs of human presence go from prehistoric to Roman and then early christian times (basilica ruins), to continue into the Middle Ages (remains of the ramparts depicted by Dürer) and the 19th century (Austrian fortifications), ending in the 20th century with the Alpini road and Cesare Battisti Mausoleum. Declared an area of great naturalistic interest, it is currently one of Trento‘s suburban parks.
